Job Description:
A company is looking for a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist
for their Chemical Dependency team.
Key Responsibilities
Provide non-clinical peer recovery support services to aid patients
in establishing recovery and reducing overdose risks
Conduct screenings and engage patients in the recovery process
through skills training and motivational interviewing
Assist patients in setting recovery goals and developing care plans
while documenting interactions in the Electronic Medical Record
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or related field, or
equivalent experience
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of two years of professional experience in a mental health
or substance use disorder setting
Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) in the state of
Maryland
Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
certification required
