The Market of Choice Security and Loss Prevention Team is a group of highly-trained professionals utilizing the best camera systems and de-escalation training in four areas of Oregon: Eugene/Corvallis, Portland, Bend, and Ashland. The Area Loss Prevention Specialist will cover all stores in the assigned area, and visit stores in other areas for training and special projects.

The Area Security and Loss Prevention Specialist will be involved in reviewing surveillance footage, external and internal investigations, employee and customer safety, vendor and shortage issues, and building security design and implementation.

DUTIES

As an Area Security and Loss Prevention Specialist, some of your duties will include:

Conduct surveillance for criminal acts
Write accurate and precise reports
Document criminal acts and build solid criminal cases
Assist in organized retail crime (ORC) investigations
Conduct internal and external investigations
Testify in criminal and civil court
Partner with local police departments
Conduct safety, shortage, and physical security audits
Provide all other Loss Prevention functions

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

Professional, courteous, and calm attitude
Valid OR driver's license and reliable transportation
Interest in a career in retail Loss Prevention
Excellent observation and planning skills
Ability to think clearly under pressure
Strong verbal and written communication skills
18 years or older
Applicants must be available for weekends, after hours, and occasional out of town and overnight work.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency using MS Office, and CCTV operations
DPSST Certified
Knowledge of local & state law
