Who you are... --- You are energetic, inspiring and adventurous --- You have knowledge of food and beverage standards and enjoy working in hospitality --- You enjoy going above and beyond for your team and guests, creating positive memories and experiences --- You have knowledge of banquet space organization and an excellent attention to detail --- You enjoy motivating and leading a team to reach a common goal --- You have strong interpersonal and customer service skills --- You possess a current Food Handlers permit and OLCC Server's Permit --- You are available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays --- You have a minimum of two years' experience in banquets, food & beverage, conference services, or a related discipline is required What you'll do------ Oversee all banquet service operations and ensure that all banquet service details are executed--- Review Banquet Event Orders (BEO's) at the beginning of each shift to ensure rooms are set as contracted--- Confirm and set-up A/V equipment needs for the event--- Responsible for the training, development and performance of the banquet service staff, including direct supervision of the banquet staff--- Provide leadership to the staff in the absence of the Banquets & Catering Manager--- Conduct pre-event meeting with banquet staff to ensure uniforms are clean and presentable and review information pertinent to the event--- Prepare assignments for staff assigned to each event. Includes assignments for each portion of the work shift; including set-up, event tear-down and side work--- Act as a contact person for the event host during the event--- Maintain all equipment and facilities in an organized, clean and safe environment--- Perform buffet set up and breakdown--- Check buffet tables/receptions/coffee breaks for cleanliness, attractiveness and layout.--- Know the menu for each function and be able to explain the major ingredients and preparation methods for each item to be served.
